Virtual Character (엄마)

The theme of this work is a memory about a person. Photos of my mom when she was very young are a motive of the work. In the photos, mom is recorded as a girl in dead moments, not the one I used to know. Looking at these photos confuses me because they conflict with my memory about mom I live with and know. Who is the mom I know? Who is the girl in the photos who proves the “existence” of her own history? By entitling the girl in a photo “a virtual character” who I am never familiar with, I tried to record a dead moment in the photo which would gradually vanish into the past.
